We invite you to Join us for our November Mini retreat on November 20th, 2022. we will look at the role the Saints play in our spiritual and daily lives. The way we view the communion of Saints has changed over the centuries. The Church went from a companion model popular in the early Church into a patron Saint model. It even evolved into sometimes viewing the saints as some sort of a good luck charm or people we pray to only when we need particular things. Having problems with your eyes, pray to St. Lucy, sore through St. Blaze, lose your car keys St. Anthony, and when all else is lost, St. Jude. all of these views have something to offer, but this mini-retreat will take us back to the companion view of the saints as was so prevalent in the early Church offering a new (to us) perspective on the role the saints can play in our every day lives.

About the presenter
Fr. Dave was raised Roman Catholic and spent several years in the Seminary preparing for priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. During his time in the Roman Seminary Dave found and fell in love with the Traditional Latin Mass. Dave would visit Holy Trinity Church in Boston as often as possible, the only parish at the time offering the Latin Mass in the archdiocese Of Boston. When his studies brought him to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, his love for Tradition grew by leaps and bounds. Fr. Dave found the Independent Catholic Christian Church in 2013, several years after leaving the Roman Seminary when searching for a church that holds to the traditional Catholic faith and was equally inclusive of the LBGTQ community.
After ordination Fr. Dave went on to pursue training in spiritual direction and retreat ministry at the Adelynrood School for Spiritual Direction and is now member of spiritual direction international. His Faith and Spiritual Life are deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition and the sacraments. His ministry now revolves around sharing the richness of the catholic tradition and the Love and mercy of God with all, regardless of gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. In Spiritual Direction, He work with individuals from a variety of Christian traditions, helping them grow closer to our loving God. In retreat ministry he loves to share the richness of the Catholic faith, and the deep love and mercy of our Lord in a deeply prayerful, inclusive and fun way.
Professionally he works as a paramedic in a busy 911 system and is also an EMT instructor in northern Massachusetts. Fr. Dave lives with his boyfriend in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
